How do I mix style with comfort?
Comfort should always be the first consideration, investing in a good quality mattress and pillows will ensure you have the best starting point for your bed. Once you have this, you will be able to add your personal style to your functional comfort! Consider what look you are wanting to achieve, whether it’s minimalistic or a more luxurious look; patterns and textures or a bold colour scheme that reflects your personal style, let this be your guide.
What pieces would you recommend when styling a bed?
It’s great to remember, not every item on a bed needs a function and can be there just simply for decoration! Puffy comforters and layered throws not only provide warmth in the winter, but also give a more pampered look. Euro or Lodge pillows can also be used for styling as they give beds a fuller look.
How many pillows and cushions are too many?
If you are after a more opulent styled look, the more pillows and cushions the better! You can’t go wrong with an array of different sized pillows and cushions, completing the look with a smaller feature cushion for the finishing touch. On the other hand, if it’s a more minimalistic look you are after less is best, consider a couple of standard pillows stacked on top of each other.
What is the secret to keeping a duvet inner looking luxurious?
The secret to keeping a duvet luxurious is to upsize! If it’s a Queen-sized bed, a King-sized duvet will give the bed a nice and plump look. Giving your duvet a good shake when you make the bed every day is also a top tip. If you are wanting a thick, full looking duvet inner, goose feather and down is the crème de la crème (as the down is the fluffy part- the higher the down content the fluffier the duvet)!
